IPL 2022 retained players list and purse details of all teams: Not Virat, this player got the most money

This time the auction has been kept in Bangalore. Before the auction, all the teams have released the list of IPL 2022 retained players.

This time 2 new teams are going to be added in IPL. The BCCI had given the freedom to all the teams to retain a maximum of 4 players. In IPL 2022, both the new teams have also been given the freedom to include 3-3 players in their side.

IPL 2022 retained players lists of all teams:

The BCCI allowed each team to spend a maximum of Rs 90 crore, out of which half the purse for many teams went to retaining these 4 players. Now the work will have to be done with the remaining purses in the auction.

Chennai Super Kings:

Chennai Super Kings have retained Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali and Rituraj Gaikwad. In which Ravindra Jadeja was retained for 16 crores and Dhoni was included in the team for 12 crores. This time also Dhoni can be made the captain.

Ravindra Jadeja- Rs. 16 crore
MS Dhoni – Rs. 12 crore
Moeen Ali – Rs. 8 crore
Ruraj Gaikwad- Rs. 6 crore

Delhi Capitals:

Delhi Capitals signed the highest deal of 16 crores with Rishabh Pant in IPL 2022 retained players. At the same time, Akshar Patel is in second place with 9 crores. Delhi Capitals can make Rishabh Pant the captain this season.

Akshar Patel – Rs. 9 crore
Prithvi Shaw – Rs. 7.5 crore
Enrique Nortje – Rs. 6.5 crore

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR has included West Indies’ best all-rounder Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy, Venkatesh Iyer, Sunil Narine in their fleet. In which Andre Russell got the maximum of 12 crores. Kolkata has made deals worth Rs 42 crores from its purse. Now only 48 crores are left in his purse.

Varun Chakraborty – Rs. 8 crore
Venkatesh Iyer – Rs. 8 crore
Sunil Narine – Rs. 6 crore

Mumbai Indians also spent 16 crores in signing 4 retained players (Rohit, Bumrah, Suryakumar and Pollard). Now they have 48 crores left. Mumbai Indians can make Rohit Sharma the captain in this season as well.

Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings has retained only 2 players at least on IPL 2022 retained players. These include Mayank Agarwal and Arshdeep Singh. Apart from this, other veterans including Lokesh Rahul have been released. Punjab has spent the least amount of 12 crores in the retain.

Rajasthan Royals

As expected, Rajasthan Royals have included their 3 veterans Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, and Yassvi Jaiswal. In this, Sanju Samson got a maximum of 14 crores. Due to the limit of 1 foreign player, Rajasthan Royals could not sign a deal with Jofra. It is expected that he can get them by bidding big in the auction.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Bangalore has included captain Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammad Siraj in their team. Bangalore has spent 33 crores, in which Virat Kohli got a maximum of Rs 15 crores.

Glenn Maxwell – Rs. 11 crore
Mohammad Siraj – Rs. 7 crore

Hyderabad has signed a deal of 14 crores with captain Kane Williamson in the IPL 2022 retained players list. At the same time, David Warner and Jonny Bairstow had to be released. Sunrisers spent a total of 22 crores. While Rs 68 crore is left for auction.
